What is an Adjective?

Word that qualifies a noun and points out the quality, number or kind of the person, place or thing represented by the noun.

Kata yang menyatakan tentang sifat, kualitas, jumlah atau jenis orang, tempat atau hal lainnya yang diwakili oleh kata benda.

Example:

• John is a clever boy.
• Uncle gave me a beautiful watch.
• Sweet, blue, good, bad, tall, short...

Adjectives of Quality

Shows the kind or quality of a person or thing.

Menunjukkan jenis atau kualitas dari seseorang atau sesuatu.

 Example:

• He is an honest boy.
• The elephant is black.
• Old, young, clever, wise, tall, short...

Adjective of Quantity

Shows how much of a thing is meant.

Menunjukkan berapa banyak hal yang dimaksud.

Example:

• He has lost all his wealth.
• I have enough clothes.
• Any, little, some...

Adjectives of Number

Shows how many person or things are meant.

Menunjukkan berapa banyak orang atau hal-hal yang berarti.

Example: 

• I have two brothers.
• Only a few students failed.
• Many, all, several...

Demonstrative Adjectives

The point out which person or thing is meant.

Menjelaskan tentang seseorang atau sesuatu yang dimaksud.

Example:

• The boy is taller than Alex.
• These mangoes are sweet.
• Beautiful, that, such...

Interrogative Adjectives

What, which, whose...etc : when they are used with nouns to ask questions.

Apa, yang, yang punya...dll : kata-kata yang digunakan bersama kata benda yang digunakan untuk bertanya.
